BAND DANCING

Albanian Dance by Shelley Hanson is a driving opener based on the melody “Shota”.

Armenian Dances Set 1 by Alfred Reed is an important work for wind band with 5 Armenian folk tunes.

Bandancing is one of Jack Stamp’s more recent offerings is a four movement work of “new American dances”: a waltz, funk, slow dance, and fast dance.

The Dance of the Jesters Ray Cramer arranged this Tchaikovsky work that was originally used for the ballet the Snow Maidens.

Havendance is David Holsinger’s musical depiction of his first daughter Haven and represents her wilder, reckless spirit as a child.

Norman Dello Joio’s Satiric Dances is based on a comedy of Aristophanes and is in three movements.
